This is a patented product and is designed to use with or without your standard tailgate.

We figure that our design offers the chance to let it pay for itself over time.  I don't think that those behind the cab tool boxes can offer that.

We use nothing but the  highest quality latches and key locks.  Plus you can still carry 4x8 sheets of plywood or drywall as we have over 49" between the boxes.

Optional model requires you to lose your tailgate and replace it with ours.  Its stowed until you need it. 

 

No sense driving around with a big air dam on the back of your truck.  Forget the tonnue covers both cloth and glass. 

Who needs the weight or the complexity?  How do you carry anything large with a cover on the box?  Have you ever noticed the cloth covers vibrating? 

That is what is known as "drag" and your mileage is a "drag" with those items.  Lose the gate, put on the Aero Locker tm  and get better mileage.
